Going To Be A Busy Weekend

Hello sweet ladies,

Today we had a storm that started right above us in the sky...........it was beautiful........it moved away and ended up being very dangerous for some that were in its path. The weather really cooled down fast. I still had to finish up working on the Refuge Cabin so we would be ready for 20 to 30 college girls that are coming to stay at our farm........... in a 12' x 24  Refuge Cabin........with 2 small lofts upstairs that you get to by using a ladder. I have been working hard fixing it up for them all this last week I have been sewing  and cleaning....... I think I am ready. The only problem is that it is going to be cold on Friday.............49 degrees.........did I tell you that I don't have heat in this little barn......nor any electricity? We had expected warmer weather....... it is not going to get us down.........oh and we thought sunshine and warm for the evening.........not............cold, rainy and windy............hmmmmm I think that Jesus has other plans and we are going to work with those plans. My honey is going to string an extension cord from the big barn......... out to the Refuge Cabin........I strung up  CHRISTmas lights all around the inside and when we turned them on they were just beautiful. Please pray with me that the Lord will bless the girls and the young lady they will be honoring before her marriage......... despite the weather. They are bringing warm clothes........blankets, sleeping bags.........and  Saturday it is going to be sunny and 64 ..........that will make up for the cold night............ I hope.

I am praying that there will be a lot of giggling and that they will enjoy being on our farm. We will be asking them to pray with us and  hold hands and bow our heads and dedicate the Refuge Cabin.........we are wanting the Lord to use it......for His purposes. They will be the first ones to stay in it. Maybe one day they will come back with their families and stay at the cabin again. I can't wait to see if that happens.

I had to rent a port a potty. Heehee. I told the girls it was going to be primitive...........and you know what.........they will never be the same.  I told them to bring flashlights.........they will need them. I just love parties.

They know that we have a lot of babies out here. They are excited.......me too.

Hugs and blessings from my farm to your HOME,

Linda

  2. How exciting to have a place like that for visitors to stay in and make new memories. I love the idea of allowing them to be a part of blessing your cabin. Just a suggestion...get some craft paper/poster board, have them write their favorite memory/blessing of staying in the cabin for the first night, and then frame it to hang in the cabin. Just a thought. We did that each time a new cabin was built at Bible Camp.

  4. How sweet of you to open your home and arm to these girls. I am sure that the experience will be a wonderful memory for them in the future. I remember Church camp and the cabins. They too had no electricity and there was an outhouse and a communal shower just down the walk way. There were 14 of us and we had a blast. Telling stories around the campfire and hunkering down when we hit the sack. I guess that there won't be a camp fire for you all but I am sure that there will be loads of memories made along with lasting friendships. You are so Blessed.
Hugs, and have an awesome day.

  7. Hello sweet ladies

Sorry I couldn't respond. Our internet provider was down from Friday morning until Saturday afternoon. I was so tired after all the girls left and working in the garden I just didn't have it in me to write. All I can say is it was a total blast having all the girls here. My heart is full and they all want to be adopted............will work for me!

    Have a wonderful SONday!
