Hello sweet ladies,
Another review for Gooseberry Patch!!!!
Gooseberry Patch is at it again....adorableness!!!!!!!! I can't wait to do this review so you all can see what they have that is new. They sent me two little books to review.
They are my favorite books for now.........well for the time being right? Every new one is a favorite!!! They are little, sweet, easy to carry in your purse.......stick on the shelf close by you in your kitchen or craft room. I take them with me in my purse so I can read when we go on short trips from our farm. They are full of wonderful tips.......crafty ideas........ simple, fast and quick ideas for all your needs!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you enjoy this review and if you are interested in buying these sweet books you can go and order from them! The first one is...........
Tiny Tips for Gifts to Make & Give
Clever ideas for creating and sharing heartfelt gifts.
Inside this sweet little book it is just packed with precious ideas!!!!!!! Here are just a few
tips so you can see what is in the inside of this book!
Tie a sprig of rosemary, for remembrance, to jars of jams & jellies before giving.
Fill a large pickle jar with a pillar candle, then surround it with an assortment of colorful buttons. A whimsical present for a crafty friend!
Fill delicate flowered vintage teacups with scented wax crystals and slip in a wick. These sweet candles are nice to have on hand for special visitors!
Whip up a new tablecloth or runner and matching napkins from homespun...no sewing needed! To add a fringe, just pull away threads, one row at a time. A cheery gift!
That is just a few ideas. There are 98 pages to this 5” x 5” idea book!
Here is another review of the second little book I recieved!
Tiny Tips for the Kitchen
Simple shortcuts & helpful hints for the heart of the home.
You are going to find this one sooooo sooooo helpful in your kitchen! I couldn’t believe some of the tips I found in this fun little book. Here are a few!
A quick substitution for corn syrup combine 1 -1/4 cups sugar and 1/3 cup water in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat and mixture thickens and becomes syrupy.
We do this at the bakery all the time! Works great!
We do this at the bakery all the time! Works great!
Does a recipe call for toasted nuts or coconut? Toast your own by spreading in a shallow pan and baking at 350 degrees for 7 to 12 minutes stirring frequently until golden.
Parchment paper is a baker’s best friend! Pace it on a baking sheet to keep cookies from spreading and sticking...clean-up is a breeze too. Look for rolls of parchment paper at groceries and bakery supply stores.
This is a must at the bakery!!!!!!!!!
Chopped or crushed candy bars make a fast &; easy topping for frosted cakes. Try using toffee, carmel or nougat bars........mmm!
We make brownies frosted with peanut butter frosting!!!! Then we chop Reese's peanut buttercups and sprinkle on the top.
Sooooooo aren't these the sweetest books? One person could win one of these books of their choice!!!!!!! All you have to do is...
sign up for the party.........2 votes!
Simple~First vote is.........
What is your favorite thing you look for at
Prairie Flower Farm blog?
Second Vote
If you could tell Gooseberry Patch one thing what
would it be about their books that you like best?
The party begins tonight and will end
Saturday November 12 at noon.
Tell your friends please! If you don't have a blog.......email me (found at the top right of my sidebar) and put Gooseberry Patch Party in the subject line! Overseas excepted!!!!!!
Let the party begin!!!!!!
Here is what we made at work today. I used Hershey's Kisses Cordial Candies for a nummy cupcake! They were delicious and most important the kids thought so too!
Super easy cupcakes to make!!!!!! Make up your favorite chocolate cake recipe........make it into cupcakes. Start taking off the foil of each Hershey's Cordial Cherry Kiss while they are cooking. Cut each candy in half while cupcakes are baking. Take cooked cupcakes out of the oven and be ready to push into the top middle of cupcake a 1/2 of a Hershey's cordial kiss. Make a butter cream frosting and add cherry pie filling to your taste. For a regular 2 cups of powdered sugar recipe I would use about 2-3 tablespoons, beat good. Frost cupcakes after they cool! This was the best tasting cupcake ever!!!!!!! Not kidding! Tasted like a huge cordial candy cupcake! You must try.
Hope you enjoy the party.......I will be waiting to see who comes.
Hugs and blessings to all you precious ladies that make
my life so special each day!
Linda

I love Gooseberry books and have been with them a LONG time. I have cookbooks and so many others things I bought from the catalog. Does that gives a guess as to how long I have trusted their honesty and down to earth way of doing things . I also love your Blog for same reason.

Good Morning Linda,
ReplyDeleteWhat I look forward to most when I visit your blog is the inspiration you provide through sharing our Saviors love and Word.
What I would tell Gooseberry Patch about their cookbooks is how much I love that it has such a community feel about it since they look to their fans for what fills the pages of their books.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I simply cannot narrow down what I look for at your blog ~ it is such an encouragement to me as a keeper at home ~ from your sharing of God's words to your ideas about making our homes havens for our families. I enjoy every little bit of it!
ReplyDeleteAnd Gooseberry ... well I have delighted in them for years. I have this little method of enjoying their books. When I get a new one, I first go through and look at all the sketches and getting idea for a cozy home, then I read through the suggestions and finally I get to the recipes! LOL
Delinda Lea
First- I love your word and the daily use of our LORD in all you write!! (if I miss my daily devotional- I know I can get alittle fix from you!!) Second Gooseberry... I love their design of the cookbooks! So country feeling with all the sketches and drawings!

Wow Linda, what to pick about PFF (It's almost BFF!).
ReplyDeleteYour blog is beautiful which draws me in but the best thing is the scripture and how you keep the Lord present in your writing and family life.
Gooseberry Patch books are a joy to look at. The cuteness draws me in again but the substance keeps the books useful.
