Came home and you know where I went......down to the milk house.......baby was coming. I know this is not the best picture, but look how much it had worked today. I noticed that it was starting this morning before going to work. It did finally hatch! It was dark in the milk house, so I couldn't take a pic. It was out of the shell and wet. Momma will take good care of it.
The weather was perfect tonight for planting.....had to wear sweatshirt and jeans, because it was in the 70's. The sun was shining and a cool breeze was perfect. I planted the rest of my pickle plants, butternut squash, yellow squash, lavender, lemon verbena, a few more tomatoes, zinnias and I can't remember what else. I was planting in our south garden. Also at the same time our youngest daughter was having a sweet friend come to take some pic's for her senior pictures. Tay wanted Denali and Juneau in the pic's. Denali decided to run and I mean run through some of my garden. Thought you would like to see how he is growing. I got cans to put around some of the plants to protect them from this little guy! I am sure this will not be the last time he will try this. Thinking of a picket fence!
My Scarlet Red Verbena is growing and blooming.....this is probably one of my most favorite flowers. Have to have it every year. The red is so deep and looks like velvet petals. What is your favorite flower that you have to have? I asked on my Prairie Flower Facebook and it was so fun to hear what some liked.
Got in the house tonight after 9, short post, just think after Friday it won't matter how long I stay outside or stay up. I will be so grateful to have some time to get the things done on the farm that have needed done for some time.
I hope you have a good day. Thank you for leaving me comments. They make my day sweet!
Welcome new followers........you have been noticed.....by ME!
Hugs from our farm,
