IT IS SATURDAY.......AND MY DAY IS FULL....AND YOURS?

Good morning sweet ladies,

Chicken on the stove cooking..........getting ready to make some rolls in the breadmaker. I love my bread machine....well not love, but like a lot!!!!! I do all my mixing and rising in it and then shape my breads and bake in the oven. It is such a much nicer bread that way. I don't like the way a bread maker bakes bread. To hard on the sides!

This morning I got to watch the sun rise..........beautimussss! One of my favorite things on Saturday and Sundays. God does such a wonderful job painting the sky..........just for us.........so we won't forget..........that He is the giver of good GIFTS~ I love Him so much!

Take you CHRISTmas tree outside for the birds. Hang pinecones that have been dipped in peanut butter and rolled in birdseed! Easy and so fun for the birds!

Every morning Shelby basks in the sun......it is funny to watch. She closes her eyes as she stands on one leg and enjoys the warmth of the sun. She also spends a lot of time cleaning her feathers, while she stand on one leg........pretty to watch.

Are these the sweetest. The little coffee pot is only about 4" tall. Going to use it tonight.........company is coming........for dinner......out in the Refuge Cabin!

My sweet man and I went out for the evening last night, for dinner and a trip to Hobby Lobby..........now that is a nice night out wouldn't ya say? We went to pick up the pictures we needed for a order. Now when I say an order I have to tell you it was a special big order. The Lord always provides the extra just when we need it! I have a story that I want to share with you, but with company coming today for dinner I will have to save for another time! God is so in the details!!!!! Look at these adorable dishes. They made my brain spin with new colors and design! Then I found a new basket that I want to hang in the "GIRLIES Coop"! I am saving my egg money for a bigger basket just like it! Going to put it down in the Milk Barn for the Cochin Girlies so one of them can have a nest to sit in and hatch some babies for Prairie Flower Momma!!!!! Spring will be here before we know it! Now is the time to prepare!

Well, I am off to a basket ball game.......one of my sweet grand kids are  playing......then back home to finish up baking bread and making two soups.

Oh and making a Pineapple Cake for dessert. Can't wait for them to be surprised when we open the door to the Refuge Cabin.......and the CHRISTmas lights shine.......and they see a table that has been prepared before them! Love loving on people........it makes us think about a time when we who are in CHRIST.......get to go to the most wonderful banquet! Jesus thank you that one day you are going to come and get your Bride.......we will be waiting!!!!!!!!

Hugs and may God bless your day........I am praying for your needs ladies.......thank you for those who email me. I am telling Jesus.......He is listening.........and if you haven't talked to Him for awhile.......do so today He would love to hear from you!!!!

Linda
P.S. I have a question.........one of those "get to know ya" questions.

If you could have a day and sew, knit or craft.......what would you chose to do with that day?

  1. If I had a day to do anything I wanted it would spend the day hanging out with just my husband. I have 2 sons and sometimes there is just not enough time hanging out with the hubby. Most likely we would sit and read but he would be right next to me. :) Have a blessed and wonderful day!

  4. The food sounds yummy! I am sure the couple will be very blessed when they open the door and see the table set just for them. I smile just thinking about it. :-)
If I could have a day to just sit and work on crafts, I would work on a counted cross-stitch that I have been working on for longer than I care to think about. It's snowy here today, so I just may break it out this afternoon!
    Have a lovely day!

Got to watch my wonderful son play his basketball games now it is time to do some stitchin. I don't exactly remember how I stumbled upon this site, but I am very much enjoying it! Carrie

  11. Linda,
HI :) :) Oh, I'm so glad you have a nice big order coming in..Your products are so sweet and adorable and full of love :) :) Yes, it is really awesome that God provides right when we need it. That is so true!!!

I LOVE your Hobby Lobby finds, especially that basket. We don't have Hobby Lobby here in Monterey...but maybe one day soon. I did see an interview with the CEO of the company on The 700 Club awhile back...and was so impressed that their stores are closed on Sundays for families to spend time together. I LOVE that!!!

If I had a whole day to sew, knit or craft what would I do? Hmm....I'd say all three..but I've had a dream to take a quilting class. It's been a dream of mine for a few years, but I can't afford the class...yet. I want to learn from someone who knows more than I do about this... :) :) I'd love to do an all-day thing. It would be so fun :) :) Oh, and I'd have Anne of Green Gable splayin gin the background with tea, treats and all kinds of good things :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  12. Hi Linda,
Well it doesn't happen very often that I get a free day to do as I'd like since I have a hubby and four children, but I'd probably do a little baking knitting, crocheting, card making and scrapbooking.

Your posts are soooo encouraging! May just have to visit you come summer...I remember 4th of July in town being the best :) Glad you and your family are continuing to love on those college kids.

    Blessings on your day,
    Connie

  13. linda, if i had a 'free' day, i'd KNIT!!! of course!! that's what i do everyday! so when i can knit i think of it as a 'free' day/hour, etc. i don't bake since my dh is diabetic & we just can't have those foods available. i don't craft, but if i didn't knit i'd be quilting! there are so many things i would like to knit so i know i won't be w/o a 'next' on my list! i've always wanted to crochet 'name' doilies...
i have started working on a doily now for practice!! much love to you for this inspiring blog. i visit everyday. God Bless~

  17. Hi Linda,
If I had a day for sewing, knitting or crafting...well, I would like to do the patchwork quilt that I have planned. I have the materials ready, but need a day without distractions to get started. I love to do craftwork as well, but can't knit.
    Have a wonderful day,
    Selina.

  18. Hi Linda, I use my bread machine the same way as you! my husband won't touch bread actually cooked in it, says it looks like a house brick! He's french and so is very particular about his bread!!!
If I had a day for crafting - I'd like to try and write down a few of the models I have in my head (and drawn in my sketch pad) and try and knit/crochet them up, which would involve a lot of undoing and redoing I'm sure.
