Our Fourth Building Our Homes Together....With Jesus

Hello Sweet Ladies,

For some reason I can not post any of my pictures......I have tried and tried.......not happening now, I will try later.
Tried worked.

Well, this has been one of those weeks, feels like what some call drama.......I call it Building A Home! You know the kind where you feel like the wind has been knocked out of you? Yesterday when I was sitting with my friend Mary and what is now etched in my mind of Tay and Juneau (who is a big quarter horse....... the one that is caring the little colt in her tummy for Ellie) went down together. My heart I am sure stopped.  When I got to Tay she had dirt in her mouth and was as white as could be. I started praying over her. My first sign to myself, that I was establishing that I wanted the God of the Universe to be a part of our situation. I was praying for a covering over Tay for protection. From then on the day was consumed with needs........a Granddaughter who was mourning over the loss of her horse and Tay who couldn't walk...... it was busy. For those who prayed for us yesterday........ thank you so much. Tay's leg is swollen, but not huge......... we are thankful. She is going to have a large bruise going down her leg where Juneau landed and pressed her leg against the ground. She is a cowgirl thru and thru......she will be back on a horse as soon as her Daddy will let

Building a Home in everyday for Jesus.....with our everthing!

I had a picture for here with the scripture,

Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Psalm 36:5

As I meditate this morning on the Lord's goodness to our family this last week I am consumed by His compassions. Thankful "they are new every morning." When we know His Word.......we can draw on it in times of trouble.  He spared Tay big time. I can't even imagine what could have happened....... I am so grateful that it didn't. Thank you seems so simple to tell Him, so glad He knows my Momma heart. Thank you for all the prayers and for those who got the need out to ladies. It was appreciated. Taylor didn't feel like reading them, but I will read the prayers and thoughts from yesterdays post.

As the sun was going down last night the sky lit up. Every cloud across the sky was a beautiful red. I took Ellie out so we could see His handiworks. It gave rest to my soul. I needed it after a long day of care. You mommas know what I am talking about! When there is one that needs your undivided attention..........that attention takes over life!

I was building a Home yesterday as everyday.........but I was reminded this morning that I want to continue to live out my life for the Lord.

P.S. We just got news that the rain we prayed for in the southern part of Texas? Well...... Camille just wrote and said it has been raining 2 hours!!!!! YEA!!!!!! Thank you Jesus. Now ladies, Oklahoma still needs it and so does Amarillo Texas. Keep praying. Thank you!

Also pray for little Ellianna and her surgery tomorrow. Again thank you so much!

Thank you ladies for joining up to
Building Our Homes Together........with Jesus. I love
your posts and what God is doing with all of us
as we strive to live for Him and giving Him our Homes.

Love from my Home to your HOME!

Ellie and I baked cookies last night. She was so we started she said, "we have to get the camera"........that's my girl! She will record her memories for her family someday.........blessed this Grammies heart.........they watch everything we do ladies. What path are we taking them on?

We will put the pic's up when we can and give the recipe.

  1. I'm happy to hear that your granddaughter will be okay. I know that must have been pretty scary for her! (and you!)
    Love this post!

  2. Linda,

So thankful to hear Taylor was not hurt any worse. I can so identify. I got a huge bruise on (really in, I guess) some years ago when I fell through some rotten boards on a porch. That bruise turned every color of the rainbow and then some. It hurt for weeks. Still hurts in certain types of weather. I'm praying for all of you!

And how sweet you are to take that extra time with Ellie. What a difference it will make to her life.

Looking forward to what the ladies will share today!

  3. Linda,

Awesome blog :) Beautiful pics yesterday and today. Still praying for Taylor's leg and thanking God that it wasn't worse. That is scary. It shows us once again how God protects us and takes care of us :D Also praying for little Ellianna and your sweet Ellie :)

Thanks for requesting prayer for us dry folks in the Texas Panhandle. There are so many desparate farmers and ranchers everywhere needing rain.

    Love ya,

    Susan Montgomery

  4. Yea God! We got several hours of rain today and last night here in south Texas. Supposed to be more tomorrow.
Love the picture of the sky and Bible verse on this post, Linda. So beautiful!
I'm so glad for you that Taylor wasn't hurt any worse.
We are praying for other folks too who need rain.
    God bless ~

  5. Linda, just read the past few days posts. Oh my gosh! Praying for your family!! We know you will keep us posted! God's blessing and peace for your family!!

    Hugs, Linda

  6. Oh Linda you continue to be in my prayers...I worry so much about Tay, and yes I know what you mean about being a momma and worrying and caring for one of our children all day (and night).. I also pray for Juneau that she and her baby to be are okay... Glad you spent special time with Ellie last night baking cookies. That is special...

I wasn't able to post pictures last night either...will be trying it later. Hope it works...

    xoxo Gert

  7. Hi happy that your granddaughter is ok...sorry that you experienced a stressful day yesterday...Aren't you glad that we serve a God that knows everything we are going through and He walks beside us all the way...
You are a special lady and I admire your strength in the Lord...
    Blessings sweet lady.

  8. Hello is late, but I had to stop and say hello to some of my favorite ladies!!!!!!!

What a week! Smiling. It has been full! I guess I kind of confused everyone. Taylor is our 16 year old daughter and Ellie is our 13 year old granddaughter. Tay is the one that had the accident with the horse yesterday and Ellie's horse died. We have two daughters and 3 sons. The girls came 13 years after the youngest son and then again 3 years after that Taylor came! Yes says this momma. I don't have to hardly ever have an empty nest! Hope that helps everyone. Things are quiet her tonight. Taylor is feeling much better. Still has swelling, but that is to be expected. So thankful it wasn't broken. Ellie left for home later in the day, but wants to come back on Friday night. I can do~ Thank you ladies for are so precious~ Sleep tight!

    Hugs, Linda

  9. I love your blog....what a sweet blessing!
I am sending your lovely "Your love, O LOrd..." picture to a cousin who just lost her beloved husband of 46 years. I know she will be blessed and probably want to put it on her desktop for encouragement. Just thought I'd let you know. I hope that's OK with you.

    What wonderful inspiration here.
    {{hugs}} Carolyne
