Enjoy your SONday

Good morning sweet ladies,

Yesterday we had family with........all day long......girls riding horses, little ones wrapping new kittens in Grammies "white clean tea towels" (they will wash), working in the garden, jumping and laughing through the sprinkler......picking mulberries and sprinkling them with sugar to put over ice cream...........it was a full day. But one thing stands out to me. As I think of them this morning as they all drove down the lane yesterday.....what did I teach them.......did they hear again about my Jesus? Did I walk it out in my actions. Do I live like the Word is full of wonderful promises, if we stay close and obey it? Do they catch that when they are around me. Do I get things right with them.

One of my grand children argues........it is one of her bents......she  probably got it from her Grammie...sigh........I used to argue.......with my Momma......oh how I wish I could take those "argues" back. I told her so many times later that I was sorry.....guess it has been dealt with.....with forgiveness. Anyway.......the grandchild was arguing with their Poppa. I later tucked her in my arms and told her gently of her situation. I said that it would be so good if she could see that she was wrong and get it right before she left the farm.........she did. Precious She realized that it was wrong. Poppa and Grammie will have a bond.........because children so badly want someone that will tell them the Word has a better way.

I love this verse. It has kept before me what is important. Handing down to the next generation......to love God..........with our everything.

You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons (daughters and grandchildren) and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Have a wonderful day with your family,

Linda

  5. Can't help but bein' a little jealous of all the time you have with your "grands"...I know you are making a huge imprint on their lives. In the end, it will have to be their decision to follow Jesus, but you will have blazed their trail toward Him. That's for sure!

  10. Oh Linda, I love that verse too! I am very argumentative at times and I really try hard not to express my opinion every time. But it is difficult especially in the work place where so many unsaved souls are walking about! I love how you bring the family together. Pray today. we are short staffed and so busy. It is always difficult then the heat will rise in the high 90s! Ouch! I love listening to you. Hugs and Blessings Anne
