CHERISH!

You are welcome to use this photo if you would like.

Hello Sweet ladies.............

Remember when I told you that we were going to a wedding last Sat. I want to tell you a little about the story.

Four years ago there was a family..........with a Precious Momma........a Daddy........and three children that were teenagers. Two daughters.......and a son. Their Momma was dying of cancer. Some years back we were in a Bible Study with a Pastor and his wife........the wife called and asked us to pray for this precious family whom we did not know.............we did. The Momma and family had time to give their hugs and say goodbye. They loved her and so did the Daddy until death...... do....... them..... part. The children watched a love between their parents.....that they will use someday to stay for better or worse........and God will meet them......and give them the grace. The Momma prayed for her children.......and her husband. She died even though we asked the Lord that she would live.........He knows best.

Three years later we were at a camp............it was an outdoor camp. We were the cooks............God was preparing us...........for such a time as this! Smile. A beautiful young lady came up to me and said..........I want you to be my Mom this week........she has called me Momma Linda ever since.............she was adopted into our family as one of our own........she still lived with her family. Later on our youngest daughter met the youngest daughter of this family....they are now best friends.

At the time of the death the oldest daughter graduated from Homeschooling. Her daddy walked her across the stage. In the audience their was a beautiful lady............God spoke to her heart and said that one day she would marry this man............a hurting man........a faithful man to his first marriage...........she stayed in the background of this family and prayed faithfully for them. One day under a year ago the two met............it was love. He had noticed her and she had noticed him. He brought her to meet the children. This lady had the JOY OF THE LORD all over her face. The children loved her also. The Daddy asked the children what did they think.......he was so sensitive about their loss at that time of 3 years without their Momma. The children loved her. The family of four had a plan............the oldest daughter takes pictures. They were going to take her all of them........to a place with a flower garden. Then as she was taking the pictures...........he gave her a ring........asked her to marry him.......with all his sweeties around him. At this time writing this my heart is over flowing with thankfulness to my God who does not ever leave us THERE! We need to walk close though so we will not miss His blessings. They have the picture of that day. The new Momma to be asked the children to stand up as the Best Man, Maid of Honor and Brides Maid. AMAZING!

They recited their vows......acknowledged the first Momma..............and there was not a dry eye. God is good. The children love her and she loves them............she will be a good Momma........she will teach the children...........about commitment to their Daddy............we will watch in amazement............at the Redeeming Love the Lord has for ALL His Children. The wedding was a picture of Christ..........one day He will come to take us all who have trusted Him as SAVIOR! We will have a wedding feast like no other! What a special day that will be..........I hope I will see you there. You can comment....... if you know you will be there if you would like.

We came home............loving weddings......... that acknowledge the Lord. It was a very special time for our family to watch this Love Story happen!

Hugs from the Farm and don't forget to sign up for the party if you haven't already. Just scroll one post down to sign up!

  3. Wow what an amazing story. It doesn't always end up that way. Father... alone...... being eyed by another........... breaks up family........... it's happened too many times to even say. I hope and pray they will continue to walk in the GRACE of God and remember to ALWAYS keep HIM FIRST.

  5. Dearest Cindy...

It is SO few and far between to find Christian weddings with CHRIST being the CENTER...Sure HE'S acknowledged but then quickly forgotten...that HE is the AUTHOR of the that WEDDING...I Believe that WEDDINGS especially CHISTIAN weddings should MIRROR that which we will have with our LORD...a FEAST of Thankfullness unto HIM...OH how MY soul LONGS for that GREAT and GLORIOUS day..when HE with a GREAT shout Calls us UNTO HIM...where we will be with HIM FOREVER...and just think LINDA...you won't have to COOK....for our PRECIOUS LORD and SAVIOUR will have a GREAT FEAST all PREPARED for US...Imagine that...for the very thing that we don't deserve..HE has GIVEN FREELY...to Us.. :)
I WILL SEE YOU their..and even though WE may NEVER meet on this side of ETERNITY...We will know each other and be KNOWN...WHAT a GREAT and GLORIOUS DAY that WILL BE...Until then my SWEET FRIEND...
    In Christ

With the saints who for us wait!
    What a blessed, happy meeting,
    Just inside the Eastern Gate."

"And the glory of the LORD came into the house
by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east." ~ Ezekiel 43:4

  12. Oh Linda! God is so good! So very good. This wedding story was wonderful. I have had such a terrible two days. Everyone tells me God has a special house picked out for my phamily. I am not seeing it. I ask for more prayer. I think I need stronger faith. I feel like I am falling and God is pulling away. Please pray. Your story renews my trust in the Lord. Now if I can just let go and let God! Blessings to you and the family. Anne
